Elvis Asaah

Elvis Asaah is the founder and director of SHEPHERD HEALTHCARE GROUP with experience managing vulnerable adults and young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. His educational background includes an associate degree in political science, from Cameroon, MA in International Relations, from Cameroon, MA in International Security and Development, from Swansea University Wales UK, and MSc in Social work from Oxford Brooks University England UK.
Accomplished and dedicated professional with over 10 years of experience in providing high-quality care and social work support to service users with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and complex needs.

Some of Elvis’s work experience is working with the BRITISH RED CROSS in Newport Wales supporting vulnerable adults in the community to live independently. He also provided personalized support specific to their individual needs. Also, he worked with Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust as a healthcare Assistant across different service user groups from organic, functional, Acute, Forensic, Rehabilitation, and place of safety section 136.
Elvis has worked with people with dementia, and chronic conditions and have provided end-of-life care. He has also provided care for stroke rehabilitation including speech and language therapy. And also experience in anxiety and depression care.

Elvis believes mindfulness in the workplace is key to success—a tenet he lives out throughout his professional career. He has worked as a Human rights protection and promotions officer for the NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND FREEDOM in Cameroon advocating for the individual rights of Cameroonians nationally and internationally. Currently, Elvis is a registered social work practitioner who is committed to putting his learning and skills into providing care and support to young people and adults in the community to give them the best possible quality of life and opportunity to reach their full potential.
